The Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologists established the “Student of the Year” award in 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic brought on many extra challenges for students who are studying to become imaging professionals. Students are the future of the diagnostic imaging profession and we would like to recognize one student each year for their hard work throughout their radiologic technology/radiation therapy/nuclear medicine/sonography program and their dedication and enthusiasm for the profession. Students who receive this award will have proven themselves to be outstanding role models within their program and have the qualities that demonstrate they will be an extraordinary technologist in the future. Current technologists, program faculty, and fellow classmates may recognize a nominee’s commitment to their school work, patient care, and extracurriculars and are able to nominate such students for this award.
