Technologist of the Year Award
Calling all MSRT members! It is time to send in nominations for the Technologist of the Year (T.O.Y.) award!
If you know of a technologist that goes above and beyond in their profession, please consider nominating them for Technologist of the Year.
All nominations should be sent to the 2nd Vice President by June 1st.

Written NOMINATIONS along with ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, will be accepted and may be sent to the 2nd Vice President. Or simply fill out the form below and you will be contacted for the other accompanying documents.

MSRT Technologist of the Year Requirements
The Michigan Society of Radiologic Technologists established the “Technologist of the Year” award in 1968. This award has always been regarded as one of the highest honors bestowed upon a technologist. Technologists who have received this award have proven themselves to be outstanding models of our profession. These individuals have greatly contributed in the advancement of our professional society by their actions toward those they meet while carrying out the duties of a Registered Radiologic Technologist and a member of the MSRT.
As stated in the MSRT’s Guidelines, it is the 2nd Vice President’s responsibility to solicit our membership for nominations for candidates for this prestigious award. Any MSRT member may submit a nominee for consideration of the award. Please refer to the following guidelines when considering a nomination.
Eligibility Requirements
The candidate must be a member of and in good standing with the MSRT
The President, President-Elect, Board Chairman and 2nd Vice President are not eligible
Submitting a Recommendation
All nominations must be submitted using the form at the bottom of this page. The form must be filled out as completely as possible. Incomplete forms will be returned to the nominator for additional information.
Nominators must include a “Letter of Recommendation” with the completed nomination form
At least two (2) references must be submitted so that letters of recommendations can be requested from them.
Letters of Recommendation -Should include, but not be limited to, information pertaining to the following:
Quality of work
Abilities as a technologist
Professionalism
Personality, attitude
Achievements, awards, continuing education, community activities
Rapport with patients, students, and fellow employees
