Board of Directors NOMINATION FORM

President-Elect/President/Chairman of the Board

(a) President-Elect: The President-Elect shall become familiar with the activities of the Society and shall make all preparation necessary for his/her elevation to the office of President. The President-Elect shall submit to the Board of Directors a list of all committee chairpersons for the forthcoming year by the June/July Board of Directors meeting. He/She shall perform all other duties as outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines. At the end of the term, the President Elect transitions to become the President for one year, followed by a year as Chairman of the Board. Please be aware when making nominations that the term of President-Elect begins a three year position. The first will be served as President Elect, the second will be as President, followed by the third year as Chairman of the Board. (b) President: The President shall preside at all meetings of the Society, and shall perform all other duties consistent with the office as outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines. The President shall be ex-officio member of all committees, except the nomination committee. The President shall appoint committees unless otherwise provided in the bylaws. The president is the 2nd year term following the president-elect.(Shall familiarize themselves with the organization, and shall make all the necessary preparation for their election in to the office of president the following year, and perform all other duties outlined in the guidelines).

First Vice President

1st Vice-President: The First Vice-President shall become acquainted with the duties of the President. In the absence of the President the 1st Vice-President shall assume the duties of the President. He/She shall perform all other duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines. (Shall familiarize themselves with the duties of the President, and shall assume the duties of the President in their absence and perform all other duties outlined in the guidelines.).

Second Vice President

2nd Vice-President: The Second Vice-President shall become acquainted with the duties of the First Vice-President. The 2nd Vice-President shall serve as the chairman of the “Technologist of the Year” committee. He/She shall perform all other duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines. (Shall familiarize themselves with the duties of the first vice president. Shall serve as the chairman of the “Technologist of the Year” committee and perform all other duties outlined in the guidelines.)

Secretary

Secretary: The Secretary shall keep a correct and permanent record of the minutes of the Society, conduct correspondence and perform all duties outlined in the Society Policies and Procedures Guidelines. (Shall keep accurate and permanent record of the minutes of the society, conduct correspondence, and perform other duties outlined in the guidelines.)

ASRT Affiliate Delegate

Elected official: ASRT Delegate: Shall attend the ASRT House of Delegates’ meetings and all meetings required of delegates. Must be available to travel in June to the House of Delegates meeting (location varies). Respond to communication from the ASRT Office, ASRT Board of Directors or From the ASRT House of Delegates. Shall disseminate information to the Society. Delegate is elected to serve two terms. (Shall be one of two affiliate delegates to represent the Michigan Affiliate at the A.S.R.T. Annual Meeting. Shall report back to the society at the Annual Meeting the important business which occurred at the A.S.R.T. Annual meeting.)
